A mega talent, those are 3 words that perfectly describe Johnny Depp. Johnny Depp already managed to win a lot in his youth, such as the PAVO and Subli Cup for 5-year-old dressage horses and also managed to win this Subli Cup at the age of 6. He continued this series by winning Bronze at the 2022 Dutch Dressage Championships in the ZZ-Zwaar class. And in 2023 he also successfully progressed to Prix St. Georges level under his rider Renate van Uytert-van Vliet and managed to achieve high scores. Early 2024, 4th in the strong Prix St. Georges class during Jumping Amsterdam followed by a nice ranking during the Dutch Masters. This was a nice conclusion for the Light Tour and we decided to continue training towards the Heavy Tour. In June 2024, the time had come and Renate and Johnny Depp rode Intermediaire II for the first time, in which you have to ride at least 60% to be allowed to start Grand Prix. This debut was won in Beesd with a score of 65.79% and a lot of small mistakes. Their 2nd competition in the Intermediaire II was won again but now with a mega score of 72.21%. During the winter of 2025, they will make their debut in the Grand Prix. A really exciting development, because Johnny Depp really has a nice technique for the Piaffe & passage and the series have now also been nicely confirmed.

But Johnny Depp is also doing well as a breeding stallion. From his first 2 small years, 2 stallions were already allowed to be selected for the 2nd viewing at the KWPN. He also produced the auction topper of our first successful edition, the Van Uytert Young Star Sales and his son RS6 mv. Easy Game was the topper at the Van Uytert Mixed Sales!

Johnny Depp, a very nice, sweet, stable stallion with a very good character and attitude that produces nice horses with a lot of switching ability.

What success Renate and Johnny Depp have already achieved! Together they are a fantastic combination and they were in great shape approaching the 2020 World Championships for 6-year-old dressage horses. Unfortunately, the World Championships were cancelled due to the Covid-19 crisis. We look forward to their successful competition season in 2021.

Johnny Depp’s first foals, born in 2020, also seem very promising. They have a beautiful appearance and walk with a lot of spring and ease. Several offspring have been sold for good prices at leading foal auctions.
